Four decades of firsts.
Housed in an 1890s brownstone on West 72nd, The Triad has been the launchpad for some of Off-Broadway's longest-running hits — Forbidden Broadway, Forever Plaid, Spamilton, and Celebrity Autobiography. Seth Rudetsky's Disaster! began here as a month-long workshop before moving to Broadway.
In the room's early years, Christopher Walken, Elizabeth Taylor, and Jack Nicholson used the stage for their own private performances. Today it's owned by Peter Martin and Rick Newman, founder of the legendary Catch a Rising Star.
